Guest Policies

Appropriate attire is based on the area of the Clubhouse being utilized.

CLUBHOUSE ATTIRE

For the Dining Room, Dining Room Patio, Ballroom, Living Room, Sunroom and Ladiesā€™ Card Room

Gentlemen


  • Neatly pressed, fitted slacks along with appropriate collared dress shirt, sports shirt, or sweater. Sports coat recommended but not required in these areas. Shirts with tails are to be tucked in unless tailored to be worn untucked.
  • Shorts, other athletic sports wear, hats or caps are not appropriate attire in these areas of the Clubhouse.


Ladies


  • Neatly pressed, fitted slacks, dresses or skirts of appropriate length with appropriate tops.
  • Shorts, other athletic sports wear, hats or caps are not appropriate attire in these areas of the Clubhouse.
For the Grill, Porch and Terrace, the appropriate level of dress is casual

Gentlemen


  • Neatly pressed, fitted slacks or shorts (Bermuda/fingertip length) along with appropriate collared dress shirts, sports shirt, or sweaters. Sport coats are optional. Shirts with tails are to be tucked in unless tailored to be worn untucked.
  • Golf attire is permissible in the areas listed above.
  • Tennis attire with appropriate top or cover is required for the areas listed above.


Ladies


  • Neatly pressed, fitted slacks, dresses, skirts, shorts of appropriate length (Bermuda/fingertip length) with appropriate tops.
  • Golf attire is permissible in the areas listed above.
  • Tennis attire with appropriate top or cover is required for the areas listed above.


What is NOT Appropriate Clubhouse Attire?


  • All blue denim attire including pants, jackets, and shirts are prohibited.
  • Low cut, sheer or revealing clothing, baggy pants, cargo pants or shorts, cotton, fleece workout or sweatpants or shorts (e.g. basketball pants or shorts), sports jerseys, t-shirts or undershirts, athletic tank tops, camisole tops, racer-back shirts, spandex or lycra pants or shorts, yoga pants or shorts, leggings or tights without appropriate cover are all prohibited attire.
  • No caps or hats with the exception of outdoor dining areas, the Porch, and going to or coming from the Locker Rooms.

Golf Attire

The Minikahda Club follows a tradition of conservative golf attire.

The following rules apply during golf season to the Golf Course, Driving Range, Golf Practice Areas, Golf Shop, and Teaching Areas.

Gentlemen


  • Sports shirts with collars, sports tees, mock turtlenecks, sweaters or outerwear, rain jackets or pants. Shirts must be tucked in whenever the garment is designed to be tucked in.
  • Properly fitted slacks or shorts (Bermuda/fingertip length).
  • Golf shoes with soft spikes or athletic shoes with rubber soles.
  • Caps are to be worn forward and removed when entering the Clubhouse with the exception of outdoor dining areas, the Porch, and going to and from the Locker Room.
  • Inappropriate golf attire includes athletic shorts, cotton or fleece athletic pants, t-shirts, sports jerseys, athletic tank tops, tennis attire, all blue denim, cargo pants or shorts, yoga pants or tights, non-athletic shoes.


Ladies


  • Shirts with or without collars are acceptable, sweaters or outerwear, rain jackets or pants.
  • Properly fitted slacks, skirts or shorts (Bermuda/fingertip length).
  • Golf shoes with soft spikes or athletic shoes with rubber soles.
  • Hats are to be worn forward and are permitted at outdoor dining areas, in the Porch and going to and from the Locker Room.
  • Inappropriate golf attire includes short shorts or short skirts, all blue denim, leggings, tights, sweatpants, yoga pants, camisole tops, strap tops, athletic tank tops, racer-back tops or midriff tops, non-athletic shoes.


Winter Season Golf Area Attire


  • During months that the golf course is closed, appropriate fitting blue denim is allowed in the Golf Shop, Teaching Areas, and other golf areas only.

TENNIS, SPORTS AND FITNESS ATTIRE

Ladies & Gentlemen


  • Tennis clothes and shoes are required.
  • Sport tees or t-shirts designed for athletics are appropriate.
  • Casual attire is appropriate, including non-tennis players, while at the tennis facility.
  • Inappropriate attire at the Tennis complex includes all blue denim, yoga pants or shorts, short-shorts, and cut-offs.

When going from Tennis to the 10th Tee House, members/guests/nannies must comply with all Tennis and Golf dress code requirements.

POOL ATTIRE

Ladies & Gentlemen


  • Suits designed for swimming are required.
  • A cover-up and shoes are required for coming to and from the parking areas and dining on the Terrace.
  • Casual attire is appropriate for non-swimmers at the Pool.
  • Inappropriate attire includes all blue denim, cut-off shorts and sheer or revealing clothing.
