Our Story

Oak Ridge Country Club is a private country club located in Hopkins, Minnesota.

Established in 1921 as a Jewish Country Club, our championship golf course has been host to many tournaments, both amateur and professional. Our facilities also include multiple dining areas, an outdoor swimming pool, fitness center, four Har-tru and one hard tennis court. Our banquet facilities can accommodate up to 325 people for special events.

Membership

Founded in 1921, Oak Ridge Country Club is a private club, rich with tradition and pride. We are located on 153 beautiful acres in Hopkins, Minnesota.

We offer an impressive new clubhouse, superior 18-hole golf course, a stunning zero entry pool and cabana area, tennis facilities (4 clay, 1 hard), fitness center, multiple dining areas, private event spaces, meeting rooms, and a world-class staff.

We offer two types of membership

Membership privileges are extended to both spouses (if applicable) and dependent children through age twenty-five (25). If married, categories shall be determined by the age of the older spouse. All memberships affords all associated right and privileges to include the right to vote and hold office upon initial payment of applicable initiation fees.

Full Golf Membership

Our Full Golf Membership provides full use of the clubhouse, dining, swimming, tennis and golf facilities including involvement in all social activities. With the HD Golf Simulator, golf is available all year round. Oak Ridge also hosts a variety of social events throughout the year that will appeal to all members.

Sports Activity Membership

Our Sports Activity Membership is for those interested in the social aspects of the Club. It provides use of the clubhouse, dining, swimming, tennis facilities and limited use of the golf facilities. This may include banquets and private parties, club hosted events, pool parties, junior sports programming and personal dining with friends and family.

Golf

Oak Ridge Country Club in Hopkins, Minnesota features a 6612 yard championship level golf course with a par of 70. The original nine holes were completed in 1921, these are now holes 10 through 18 and feature the 540 yard par 5 number 14.

In 1942, the second nine holes were built, holes 1 through 9. The course features bent grass greens, tees, and fairways. An abundance of mature trees and well placed bunkers reward accurate tee shots. The naturally rolling terrain creates interesting shots on each and every hole. Oak Ridge is a challenging and fair course that rewards accuracy and great short game play. Golfers of all skill levels will find a course that both tests their skills and creates an enjoyable golf experience.

In 2019, every green received an upgrade with the XGD Drainage System. In years past, a heavy rain would render the greens unplayable for hours. With the new drainage, the greens bounce back to playing condition in minutes following a significant downpour. Every bunker on the course has been redesigned; some have been relocated and rethought. Each now has an efficient drainage system providing speedy after-rain recovery. Further, a layer of capillary concrete was installed below the 4” of Ohio’s Best sand to prevent upward contamination of the bunker from roots, sticks, rocks and other debris.

Weddings & Events

The beautiful club house with a grand marble staircase and marble foyer, offers flexible and elegant room spaces which may accommodate up to 350 guests. We can provide the intimate atmosphere desired for the wedding ceremony and dinner reception, but also for any smaller wedding related event such as showers, groom’s dinner, rehearsal dinners or gift opening brunches.

At Oak Ridge Country Club, the catering team will be delighted to work with you to develop your custom menu based on the many selections offered by our culinary staff. Menu items include beef, lamb, chicken and seafood. Our skilled team may also accommodate family special recipes or culturally oriented cuisine. Offerings also include a variety of vegetarian and children’s selections.

Private Event Spaces

The Ballroom

Featuring floor to ceiling windows with beautiful views of the golf course , a built in full service bar for quick and convenient libations. The main ballroom easily divides into smaller rooms to accommodate events of different sizes.

A choice space for groups of 50 or less. It features a built-in marble counter top buffet and large windows which overlook the course’s 10th tee.

Features glass walls to create an atrium atmosphere. It is situated between the Grill Dining Room and the Oak Ridge Room and may be used as an adjoining reception or buffet area, or as a room by itself, which may accommodate up to 30 guests. Great for Bridal Party luncheons.
